Navy Fallen Heroes

We deal with trauma every day. Is it me? Or does it seem like the 30...YES.....30....Naval Seals and naval and army aviation support team members who lost their lives this past week when their helicopter was shot down. . .were. . .just forgotten?

Go to cnn.com check out the link. . . .Chinook helicopter survivors sorrow. My heart breaks for the men who held the most elite dangerous positions of our military. Our Navy SEALS. But also for the support troops. . .the medic and the aircraft support teams that also lost their lives. Even more importantly. . .for the wives and families. At least four of the surviving wives are pregnant. Babies that will never know their Dads. I looked at each and every face lost. It broke my heart.

And when will it end? Why in the hell aren't we out of there? Wasn't that the promise? This far in. . .as we are supposedly pulling out. Now? We have the deadliest day in Afganistan? I am so over it. So over the politicians who are so far removed and only focused on their upcoming campaigns. How many more lives have to be lost to a lost cause in and of itself.

I know Vietnam was rough. On our men and on our nurses. But we have no purpose in Afganistan, nor Iraq. It is finished. It is over. Obama....back up your words. Get our boys out. Get them home. Put that truth in your campaign speeches.
