I am horrified to report that it was an American who killed my colleague in Australia, ED Manager Michelle Beets. Not only that, he was a disgruntled employee whom she had sacked because he was stealing drugs. Gaaaahhh!!!!!!
Downunder, we already have a reputation for being gun-toting, violence driven, non-helmut wearing, drunk drivers. And now this to perpetuate the stereotype. Damn it!!!! I am ticked. Enraged really. Couldn't it have been a random crime like in the US? But no, some idiot YANK goes and kills one of the most amazing nurses EVER!!!!! That is a lot coming from me.
I am saddened and embarrassed for our legacy. It will take 100 good Yank nurses to overcome that deranged one. I am not even going to dignify his infamy with a name. But you can read it for yourselves in the Sydney Morning Herald or from the ABC news.

Walter Ciaran Marsh is my hero! I guess it's up to Americans to continue to protect the world from sexual predators. Too bad he got caught.
Quite a tragic story. Your friend could be of help to many people if she didn't die. However, death is inevitable, eh. It's just sad to know that she died in a tragic way. Condolences.
